Jr High meet from 5:30 - 6:30 PM
Shared meal 6:30 PM
Sr High meet from 7:00 - 8:00 PM
Meet weekly in The Venue* (youth room) or in the Christian Café (coffee house) for excitement and good times with friends; includes meal time fellowship. If you are in JR High (6th-8th grade) or SR High (9th-12th grade) you will get to investigate answers to the different questions YOU bring up! Shared meal at 6:30 PM is provided by families and church groups, please contact Pastor Jess with questions or to sign-up for the weekly meal.

Youth Service Dates: October 6 and November 3 the youth group will be looking for projects (cleaning up yards, raking leaves) for these service evenings. Anyone who has a small yard project for the youth may sign-up on the sheet on the youth bulletin board or contact Pastor Jess or Jason Bush.
Produce from the Youth’s plot at the Community Garden will be ready shortly. Look for our watermelons and pumpkins at the Farmers’ Market. The proceeds will go toward the youth mission trip for next year.

Junior Highers (6th-8th graders) meet in the Christian Café, rm 105*
Something special is always planned by the leaders (Randy & Vicki Anderson). This group is very upbeat and exciting. Past year they reviewed, 7 Things Christians Should Do. Along with the high school students, often share in fellowship over food.
Senior Highers (9th-12th graders) meet in The Venue, rm 104*
High School program is very strong gathering of youth with outstanding leadership (Jason Bush). Often share in food & fellowship with the Jr. High youth.

(No classes over the Christmas Holiday)
Wednesday's 4:30-5:30 p.m.** 
Typically in the Seventh Grade, students learn Methodist History and Practices. Meet from October until March on Wednesday afternoons (4:15-5:30 PM) with the pastor in room 201 (located upstairs by elevator). Youth attend worship and assist with Acolyte duties. Confirmation is not a requirement, however will aid the student with making an informed choice before deciding upon church membership. Classes end the Wednesday prior to the Methodist "Profession of Faith" through the declaration of membership.
Resumes Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. with the profession during Sunday worship around Easter (April 2011).
Graduating High School?
Scholarship forms are available in the office. Please stop by and pick one up. Scholarships open to seniors who will be continuing their education next year. Scholarship forms come out in March and are due by April.

PURPLE POTTY
Landing in a yard near you... "Flush Away Hunger" Toilet
March-April a 30 Hour Famine youth fundraiser placed a PURPLE POTTY in yards unless the owners had signed up for yard insurance. Also those who received the purple potty could place a 'hit' on another home owner's yard.

World Vision's 30-Hour Famine
April 9-10, 2010 our youth group participated in the 30-hour famine. Fasted to get a taste of hunger-and to raise money to help feed and care for hungry kids and their families around the world.

Thanks to all who helped make the 30 Hour Famine a huge success!!!! Thanks also to the kids for raising so much money. They were able to raise over $2,100!! Hopefully we can get more kids and adults involved next year! Carroll First United Methodist Youth Group rocks!!!!
