 Confirmation Class

  Wednesday's 4:30-5:30 p.m.**

Typically in the Seventh Grade, students learn Methodist History and Practices.  Meet from October until March on Wednesday afternoons (4:15-5:30 PM) with the pastor in room 201 (located upstairs by elevator).  Youth attend worship and assist with Acolyte duties.  Confirmation is not a requirement, however will aid the student with making an informed choice before deciding upon church membership.  Classes end the Wednesday prior to the Methodist "Profession of Faith" through the declaration of membership.

Resumes Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. with the profession during Sunday worship around Easter (April 2011).

For more information on the history and practice of confirmation in The United Methodist Church, read Claiming the Name: A Theological and Practical Overview of Confirmation, by John O. Gooch.
