Global Board of Ministry (GBOM)
The General Board of Global Ministries is the global mission agency of The United Methodist Church, its annual conferences, missionary conferences, and local congregations.
Global Ministries is organized into the following units: Mission and Evangelism, Development and Communication, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, and the Women's Division.
North Central Jurisdiction - UMVIM
United Methodist Volunteers In Mission – North Central Jurisdiction supports efforts by individuals and groups of volunteers within the NCJ who undertake specific tasks as described by their hosts to bring Christ's healing to situations of need. It acts as a clearinghouse for UMVIM and builds covenant relationships with the Annual Conferences in the NCJ (includes:North & South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio). UMVIM-NCJ acts as a resourcing agency for conference VIM committees, maintains linkages with the office of the General Board of Global Ministries’ Representative to the NCJ and the Mission Volunteers’ office.
