This June 2010, Carroll FUMC welcomed the Bailey family. A native of Minburn, Iowa, most recently Pastor Dennis Bailey pastored at Independence, First UM Church (1997-2010). He along with his wife Nancy have three married sons one who ministers in NE at this time. Born into a farming family, Pastor Bailey went on to earn his undergrad in Religion at Simpson College (IA) then attended Perkins Seminary in Texas. First appointment was at Charter Oak-Ute-Deloit in 1978 with his Elder ordainment in 1981.
Typically in the office Tuesday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - Noon and on visitations at least three afternoons a week, unless called away. When not out calling can be found in the office (including Saturdays). Intends to take Mondays off, appreciate the church family helping honor this day of rest. If emergency arises then please call him on his cell. In fact, during the week if any needs arise, surgery/birth/death/etc, please contact Pastor Bailey or let the church know (rather hear the news multiple times than not at all). Need to talk? Contact him so he might pray with you. Or join him Sundays 10 minutes prior to worship for prayer.

Pastor Jessica Rockhold [jessrockhold@gmail.com] and her husband Tim Gaul moved to the Glidden & Carroll FUMC's in July of 2009. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies with a minor in Ancient Civilization from the University of Iowa in 2006. And went on to receive the Master of Divinity in 2009 at Wesley Theological Seminary of Washington, D.C. In 2010 the Iowa Conference commissioned her as a provisional elder.
Pastor Jess is responsible for the youth ministry programs as the associate of Carroll FUMC; as well as the overall ministry of the Glidden First United Methodist Church.

Suzi Olberding [suziolberding@msn.com] has a background of Children's education. She and husband Dave, along with their three kids, make Carroll FUMC their home. You can find Suzi interacting with the young people of FUMC through worship, fun & games, meals/snacks, or providing leadership with the education helpers. May even find her out and about as she does planning/purchasing/training for the next big event. Her love of Christ's Children is evident in all she does for Carroll FUMC's young people.

Verona Fuller - Administrative-Financial Secretary Verona has been managing the offices of First United Methodist church of Carroll for over 40 years. She is a great asset to the community and the staff. She can be found in the office on weekday mornings working on newsletters, bulletins, or making Baptism banners. Call or stop in to talk with her.

Since marrying Dale Liechti (of Arcadia), they call Carroll their home. Joined the Carroll FUMC staff in Sept. 2009; previously on the administrative staff at the First United Methodist Church in Indianola, IA.
Rebecca (Beccy) [r.whartonliechti@gmail.com] , a Theological Offspring, loves working with young people and participating in mission trips or camps. In fact, has been in Central America & Caribbeans teaching at local schools and providing muscles at V.I.M. work sites. Discovered that wherever she travels, there is always a Methodist Church with welcoming arms. You can find her in the office on weekday afternoons.

Responsible for the music ministry of Carroll First United Methodist. She loves to share God's blessings through songs, instrument, and group chorals as well as booking other musical acts to share with the community. Jacqueline owns Sound and Service, a retail electronics store, located in Carroll.
She maintains a private studio; serves as a guest conductor and clinician in area schools; also co-conducts All Strings Attached. Jacki, her husband Mark, and their two sons call Carroll their home.

Ellen Severin - Organist/Bell Director Ellen provides organ music for our Saturday or Sunday Worship services. She is also the director for the Carroll FUMC Bell Choir.

Nancy Davis - Organist/Pianist Long time resident of Carroll along with her husband Mike. Nancy provides organ music for our Saturday or Sunday Worship services.
Diane Reed - Organist/Pianist Plays piano and/or organ for our Saturday Worship services. Diane is a long time friend to FUMC.
Michelle Caltrider - Custodian Along with her husband Kevin & their kids, the Caltrider family has been keeping Carroll FUMC clean for years. Express your appreciation, to her and her family, for our squeaky clean facilities.
