Last Day for Messenger Articles is Wednesday, October 24th. Please have any items you want in the November Messenger by that afternoon.

 

Trust Foundation will meet on Thursday, October 25th at 6:30 pm in the Conference Room.

 

Folding of Messengers will be Friday, October 26th at 9:30 am.

SUNDAY SCHOOL STARTS SEPTEMBER 16TH

For more information about out Sunday School Program click on the picture below. We will start off studying the Lord's Prayer. Watch the screen when you arrrive for which station your class is assigned or check the chart below.

Pastor Terry will lead a 6 week class on Prayer. THis class will start on September 16th at 9:15 am in tehe Conference Room. If you can't attend the class join the Facebook group or do the study on your own or as a family. Books are available at the church.


 Make sure to register your children & youth for our fall programs. This includes Sunday School, UM Kids (1st-5th), JR and SR High youth, and Mini-Methodist (Preschool-Kindergarten).Click on the button below to register.

 


 

CHILDREN AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES

Faith Exploration (Confirmation) Wednesday, October 24th from 4:30-5:30 pm at the church in the Confirmation Room off the elevator. This is for 7th grade students. Click on the picture for more information.

Youth (6th-12th grade) Wednesday, October 24th at the church. JR High will meet from 5:30-6:30 pm; there will be a shared meal at 6:30 for JR and SR High; SR High will meet from 7-8pm. If you would like to know more about out youth program click on the picture below. Jason is currently seeking a helper for the Youth Program, if you are interested contact Jason Bush. Also we now have a sign up sheet for youth meals. If you would like to volunteer to make meal for our youth please type in your name next to the date on the MEAL SPREADSHEET.

On Friday, November 2nd the youth will going to Greenfield for a lock-in. Then on Saturday, November 3rd they will help pack all the Ingathering kits into boxes to be shipped to UMCOR for distribution. Last Wednesday evening our youth packed 232 school kits and 125 health kits from our church!!

 

UM Kids will meet on Wednesday, October 24th for a Service Day, from 1-4 pm.

UM Kids will be meeting ONLY ON THE EARLY OUT DAYS. More information is available by clicking on the icon below. Please remember to register for this program.

MINI-METHODIST first meeting will be Monday, October 22nd from 6-7 pm. Click on the icon below for more dates, and information.


You can help by decorating a trunk, helping supervise the bounce house, serving food or donating candy. There will be a sign up sheet and a container by front desk for candy. Also you can call the church to sign up.

We have 10 kits to help with decoration your trunk. Stop by the church and pick one up and join us at Trunk R Treat!


 

We are looking for drivers to help with the transportation ministry. We will also be taking names of those who need rides. Sign up on the insert in the bulletin.


Members of the congregation will welcome past members, pastors, and friends to our Sesquicentennial/Dedication celebration on November 3rd & 4th. An open house will be held Saturday, November 3rd, from 1-3 pm. and a day of celebration will be held Sunday, November 4th. Special guest, Reverend Greg Hackett will share the message during worship. We are so excited and blessed that he will be a part of this special anniversary. His mother, Marie Hackett, was our Church Historian for many years and organized our 125th celebration. Reverend Hackett grew up in this church. He currently serves as District Superintendent of Las Misiones District of the Rio Texas Conference. A catered meal will be served after worship on November 4th (free will donation). If you would like to volunteer in any capacity, please call Cindy Krauel at 792-1141. Thank You.

CommunityEvents:                                                                                                                                        ->Lake City Union Church will be hosting their Annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday, October 21st from 11:00-12:30.                                                                                                                                     ->St. Anthony Auxiliary will be having a $5 jewelry sale on Thursday, October 25th from 8-4. ->Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lidderdale will host their Annual Soup Supper on Sunday, October 28th from 4-7.                                                                                                                     ->TAKE BACK THE NIGHT will host a walk on October 25th beginning at 6 pm at Rolling Hill Park. This is in support of those who have been impacted by violence in their lives.
