NEWS FOR THE WEEK OF MAY 6th

We are currently working on making print copies. We will be printing in small batches, because we are printing them at the church. Please be patient with us as we print them. If you have already requested a print copy we will let you know when yours is ready. If you haven't requested a print copy and want one let the church office know or sign up on bulletin insert       


SUNDAY SCHOOL

 

Duke's adult class meets in the Confirmation room off the elevator. All are welcome to join us for a time of bible study and discussion. Duke's class will continue to meet until the end of May.

 


 

CHILDREN AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES

 

YOUTH GROUP Wednesday, May 8th at 5:30 pm, 5th-12th graders and their parents are invited to the Bush residence, 1511 Olive Street, for a Picnic. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Mark you calendars. VBS 2019 dates, July 7-11 from 6-8 pm. Registration on-line is open, click on the logo below for more information. Paper forms will be available at the front desk. Come and see how wild life can be!

 

If you would like to be a VBS helper please contact Suzi at the church at 792-1122 or sign up on the display at the front desk.

MISSIONS OPPORTUNITIES

Food Pantry is need of many different food items as well as tolietry items at this time. There seems to be an increased need during the holidays. Needed at this time are baby food all ages, tomatoe sauce, cookie and muffin mixes. We now have a cash donation jar by the food cart to help pay for rent, utilities and other items needing to bought.

Community Events:

->St Anthony Regional Hospital will be hosting a free “Welcome to Medicare” seminar to help people going on Medicare understand their options. These will be held on the first Thursday of each month starting on May 2nd.

->Thursday, May 9th vocal ensemble LYRA will be performing at St. John Lutheran Church at 7 pm.
